How to Open Mini Barrel Mills:
Bowen Island Herb Salts’ Mini Barrel Mill does NOT open by twisting the moving parts of the mill. To open the mill, you have to lever the top stainless-steel part off the transparent compartment into which you fill our salts, peppercorns or flavoured sugars. The top part is held into place by two black notches on the inside of the mill.

Find one of the notches by holding the mill upside down. |

Place your thumb next to the notch and pry the two ends apart until the notch releases. |

|
3. |
Turn the mill 180 degrees, place your thumb next to the second notch and pull up again. |
 |
|
|
|
|
|
4. |
The mill top will come off the transparent compartment, leaving the grinder and square stem behind. |
 |
|
|
|
|
|
5. |
To close the mill after filling, align the square stem with the square hole in the inside of the mill top. |
 |
|
|
|
|
|
6. |
Press both mill parts together until both notches snap together. |
